Stars in Stripes

I wanted to share a few of my favorite, independent fashionistas that I spotted in Stripes! Each of these women have inspired me greatly, motivating to continue blogging with greatness!

1. Janelle Monae
Janelle can be seen in black and white and stripes all of the time! I love how she is able to diversify her looks using minimal colors. This beautiful singer always excites me to reach for the stars with her looks and her song, “Electric Lady”.

2. Chiara Ferragni
Chiara is an internationally well-known blogger. She has modeled for top brands like Louis Vuitton and Chanel. Within the past few years, she had created her own brand of clothing and shoes named after herself. Chiara inspires me to reach for the stars by traveling literally and figuratively outside of my comfort zone.

3. Folake of Style Pantry
Folake was one of the first African American bloggers to catch my eye! Her style amazes me! She is classy, yet edgy in her looks and her head full of natural hair is always on point! Folake inspires me to reach for the stars by trying new prints and often just keeping it simple.

4. LaQuisha Hall (me)
I an a star and I believe in myself. It took me a very long time to get to this point but I will proclaim it forever! After starting my blog in 2010, I’ve experienced many setbacks and disappointments but I keep going. I love fashion and styling and I love to see other women looking and feeling great about themselves. I hope to inspire others to reach for the stars by sharing how I’ve overcome difficulties and educating them how to be confident.
