I am excited to continue sharing with you what I have learned in 5 years of being a blogger! In every relationship, they say communication is key… the same applies to your relationship with your audience as a blogger.
1. Communicate on all social arenas.
Some prefer one type of social media over the other. For fashion blogging, I prefer Instagram because if the neat story created through perfect little boxes, lol. Also, this is where my highest engagement occurs! Anyways, you cannot have favorites in the world of blogging. Be sure to have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest and Snapchat set up!
2. Reply when spoken to.
As your visibility increases, so does your notoriety. Audiences love chatting with those that they deem notable! When they receive a response from noteworthy people, they are thrilled and more likely to return and/or share your blog with others. When audience members leave a comment, take the time to say hello I return or thank you–it will not be forgotten!
3. Use hashtags for increased visibility.
Must social media platforms can be enriched with hashtags. Hashtags makes it easier for people to find you based on content. I hashtag the content matter, brands I an wearing, the hairstyle type, clothing type and more. The following are frequently used hashtags that have increased my visibility:
#fashion #stylebloggers #fashionista #fashionbloggers #stylebloggers #ootd #blogger #teamnatural #naturalista #naturalhair #francescas #ShoeDazzle
4. Communicate with brands.
Every time I wear a brand, I let them know! How? By tagging them on social media! Brands are in a place where they are recognizing the value of who they refer to as “influencers”. The more you let them know you are investing stock with them, the more likely they will either repost your photo on their social media our reach out to you for partnership.
P.S. I am an influencer for ShoeDazzle and I have been for Francesca’s. I have never pitched to them, I just tagged them! I know first-hand that this strategy works! 😉
5. Communicate with other bloggers.
Attending blogger events not only affords you the opportunity to have a reason to dress chic (as if you need one, lol), but it allows you a chance to share platforms and learn more about your favorite activity! Also taking cute photos with other bloggers always looks fun on your own blog!

Really great tips to share, even simply taking advantage of how much brands like influencers by reaching out to them and letting them know that you are planning ahead for content entices them to collaborate. I have done it a few times and it works.
Absolutely!
Thanks for the tips.On instagram I will sometimes include the product or company name in my hashtags. I should consider tagging them as well,
Yes! You can tag former posts too!
These are great tips, LaQuisha! I will admit that I am guilty of not being social on every social network I belong to. I need to get active on Snapchat and engage more on Twitter. And the point you make about communicating with brands is golden! I never think to tag the brands, but will from now on.
This post has been so helpful. Thanks for sharing the tips! And I’m loving your look. I need those sunnies and shoes in my life!
Creating a schedule for what days you will post on which media source will help you to not be overwhelmed. Best wishes, dear!
Brands are always looking for bloggers especially the emerging micro influencer who seem to have more impact than larger bloggers
Right! Such an advantage! 😄
This is so key to having a successful blog. Relationships are everything!
Absolutely, dear!

Communicating with other bloggers is so important. It’s great to talk with other like minded folks.
Yes social media is alway the key to being an engaged blogger. I am a serial tagger too. I always let brands know where I am at and how I use their products as well. You never know how an opportunity can spin from that!
